The social network is ‘testing a new option that opens up a window when someone comments on your post, replies to your comment or tags you in a comment’
Facebook is running a “small test” in which comments on users’ posts, replies to comments or users being tagged in comments causes the involved posts to pop up in a window at the bottom of their screens.
The social network confirmed the test to Richard Nieva and Ian Sherr of CNET, with a spokeswoman telling them:
We’ve heard from people that they would like an easier way to participate in conversations on a post while they are still in News Feed, so we are testing a new option that opens up a window when someone comments on your post, replies to your comment or tags you in a comment. You can always hide the conversation or turn off notifications from within the drop-down menu of the post.
